Tips to overcome some hurdles and blunders that commonly happen in flipped classroom
Access
Make sure your students can assess the content
â—¦Some students might not be able to access the internet at their home
â–¹Get some flash drives, check them out to students
â–¹Burn the videos content onto DVDs
â–¹Get a set of digital devices that you can check out to your students
Watch
Make sure to teach your student how to watch a video:
â–¹How to interact with the video content in a meaningful way that causes them to reflect and think
â–¹Differences based on the maturity of the kids
â–¸What they are ready and prepared to learn
â–¹Length of the video
â–¸1 and 1.5 mins per grade level
â—¦E.g. grade 4 (4-6 mins) grade 10 (10-15 mins)
â–¸Keep it short
Safeguards
Build in some safeguards to make sure all students are actually watching the videos
â–¹Notes
â–¹Embedding google form to collect data
â–¹Post a question in the video and bring the answer of that question as an entrance ticket into class

Don’t feel the need to make your videos perfect
â–¹Sit in a room with good lights
â–¹Have nice area to work

▹Teach naturally and organically, speak to the students in a way that’s meaningful to them
